Community Counts
goes Electronic!
The Whatcom Coalition for Healthy Communities will launch a new webtool in May, 2006 based on our community indicator project Community Counts.
This new web interface, the Healthy Communities Network, will highlight quality and useful information about a broad range of community health topics in Whatcom County. While Community Counts 2002 combined indicator and local resource information, the new electronic version will dynamically display:
- a dashboard of indicators
- leads to promising practices
- contacts for local resources
- links to quality news and information
The Coalition is working with partners Whatcom County, City of Bellingham, Port of Bellingham, United Way, Western Washington University, St. Lukes Foundation and St. Joseph Hospital on this project with additional funding from Boeing Employees Community Fund.
